Proven Geologic Hydrogen
Designed for Power
Larin Energy is a geological / natural hydrogen company with an unusual foundation: a proven well result, a scientific lineage that predates the current sector, and a commercialisation strategy that reaches beyond molecule discovery to energy conversion.
The first U.S. wildcatter natural hydrogen well.
In 2019, what we believe was the first dedicated U.S. natural hydrogen wildcatter well was drilled in Nebraska, using the PHE concept as a scientific basis. This well was a technical success, confirming the presence of deep-seated natural hydrogen in the crystalline basement formations to substantial concentrations. The well proved the success of our exploration methods, showing gas containing 44% H₂ — above the commercial viability threshold identified in peer-reviewed techno-economic analysis — and 12.8% He, approximately 40× above the commonly cited commercial helium threshold of 0.3%.

Natural hydrogen — referred to as geologic hydrogen, white hydrogen, or gold hydrogen across the research and investment community — follows predictable geologic patterns confirmed by USGS and global researchers. Larin Energy’s field program is designed around the highest-potential zones.
Earth's hydrogen is primordial.
V.N. Larin established the theory.
Hoarty NE3 Well Confirmed it.
Hydridic Earth presents V.N. Larin’s argument that hydrogen is a primary constituent of the Earth’s deep interior — and continuously migrates upward through fault systems and permeable formations.

Built on the shoulders of the scientists who shaped the field.
V.N. Larin's work centers on the hypothesis that Earth formed as a metal hydride — a planet with primordial hydrogen locked in its metallic interior. As the planet evolved, this hydrogen has been continuously degassing toward the surface via faults and permeable pathways. His framework provides the macro-scale justification for why natural hydrogen accumulations exist in geologically predictable locations.
V.M. Shestopalov developed the applied complement: a systematic framework for locating and evaluating natural hydrogen in real geological structures — mapping the relationship between deep fault systems, hydrogen migration pathways, structural traps, and sealing mechanisms.
"The thesis came first. The exploration logic followed. The proof is now evident."
Hoarty NE3: From thesis
to proof event.
In 2019, Larin Energy drilled the Hoarty NE3 well in Fillmore County, Nebraska — the first dedicated natural hydrogen wildcatter well in the United States. Produced gas samples returned 44% H₂, independently verified — above the commercial viability threshold for natural geologic hydrogen identified in peer-reviewed techno-economic analysis.
That result changed the company from a thesis-driven exploration story into a proof-anchored platform.
The same well also produced helium at 12.8% — a commercially significant concentration confirmed independently alongside the hydrogen result. Helium is not a feature of every natural hydrogen system, but at Hoarty NE3, the geological setting yielded both gases in the same produced stream. That made the well a dual-commodity result: hydrogen and helium from a single wildcatter program. It is not a design assumption carried forward to every site in the portfolio, but it demonstrates the revenue scope this geological system is capable of unlocking.
The well was drilled through Natural Hydrogen Energy LLC, a Larin Energy subsidiary. HyTerra Ltd. (ASX: HYT) holds a 16% JV interest — an independently listed public company whose own filings corroborate the results.

Discovery is not the business. Power is.
Finding natural hydrogen is the beginning. The business is converting it into usable electricity — and building the commercial architecture to deliver that energy at scale.
The same natural hydrogen feedstock enables nine additional product pathways — from synthetic fuels to industrial materials — with a combined addressable market exceeding $2 trillion by 2050.
